2023 Utah PRSA Student of the Year

The Utah PRSA Student of the Year competition is an annual event that allows Public Relations students across the state to compete. Participants create a comprehensive PR plan for the client of the 2023 competition, Hope4Utah, and the top five students are chosen for the finals. There are four events in the final round: a 20-minute presentation on the student's plan, a press release round, a crisis management simulation, and a media pitch round where students call a Utah professional reporter to present their plan. Utah's top PR professionals evaluate each finalist. I was named Runner Up in the statewide competition.

Knockderry Castle & Hycraft Homes

During my 2023 summer internship at AMMP Growth, I helped to successfully expand the social media presence of Knockderry Castle and Hycraft Homes. Under the guidance of Anne-Marie McDonald, I utilized my skills from Weber State to boost Knockderry Castle's follower count to over 100K. My efforts also paid off for Hycraft Homes, with their most viewed video under my management—reaching over 100K views. As of August 22, 2024, Knockderry Castle boasts over 1M followers. While Hycraft Homes has a following of over 43.6K.

Neptune Skating Pubic Relations Plan

For my final project for my PR Writing class, I chose Neptune Skating as my client to create a PR plan. I selected Neptune Skating due to the perceived lack of community awareness about the skating rink and I recognized its social value for young people. After I researched the brand and established a brand objective, I based my plan accordingly. The final product, which I take pride in, showcases my accumulated skills as a PR specialist.
